The man behind our company name – M.J. Griffiths Ltd – is proprietor Mark Griffiths, who founded the business in Bradford on Avon in 1988, following in the footsteps of his father, who was a gas engineer.
Now, with more than 40 years of extensive experience and numerous qualifications under his tool belt, Mark has grown the company in size and reputation.
We currently have a core staff of five, including an apprentice and Mark’s two sons, with trusted trades to call on if we need them to complete tasks on bathroom renovations.
We cover the local area in and around Bradford on Avon, and travel further afield to work in the city of Bath, Corsham, Trowbridge and the surrounding areas. We’re proud to say we are well-known across our “patch” for providing dependable, honest and reliable advice and workmanship for local homeowners and landlords.

Individually, our main engineers – who are all members of the same family – are well qualified to handle all your plumbing and heating needs.
Company proprietor, who holds several City & Guilds qualifications in heating, plumbing, gas work, boiler installation and servicing. Mark has been working in the industry for more than 40 years.
Qualified as a gas engineer for around 15 years (and working for his father, Mark, for longer than that), James has completed City & Guilds levels 1, 2 and 3 in plumbing and gas UHW10 Domestic hot water storage.
Max has been with the family business for the past eight years after completing all the required qualifications. He takes great pride in his work and has become our top bathroom installer. Like all the team, he keeps up to date with his training and recently renewed his gas qualifications.
George is our newest recruit, having joined the business in 2025 on an apprenticeship scheme.
