Latest Bathroom Trends

UPDATE & TRANSFORM YOUR BATHROOM

We’ve undertaken numerous successful bathroom renovation projects in and around the city of Bath and towns of Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge and Corsham in Wiltshire over the years, replacing outdated sanitaryware and fittings and improving the layout to make best use of available space.

We are bursting with ideas to help you incorporate the latest bathroom trends, including spa-like sanitaryware, biophilic designs and smart technology sourced from leading manufacturers.

Re-imagine your bathroom with the installation of modern accoutrements such as:

  • Wall-hung rimless toilets for superior hygiene and quiet operation
  • Above-counter basins to replace traditional pedestal sinks
  • Freestanding and whirlpool baths for greater emphasis on self-care
  • Frameless glass shower enclosures for a sleek, open feel
  • Eco-friendly fittings like water-saving taps and dual-flush mechanisms
  • Swapping chrome fittings for brushed brass, bronze or matt black

Bathroom Accessibility

CREATING SAFE, LEVEL SPACES

Many of our new bathroom installations or bathroom remodels involve designing a space that accommodates the elderly and those with mobility issues. We can design and fit out safe wet-rooms and walk-in showers that are practical as well as pretty, following guidelines from the Building Regulations (Part M) and British Standard BS 8300.

Things to take into account are:

  • Shower: A level-access or wet room shower eliminates trip hazards. A fold-down shower seat, grab rails, and a thermostatic mixer valve (to prevent scalding) are essential additions.
  • Toilet: The toilet should be positioned to allow side transfer, ideally with 750mm clear space on one side. Grab rails on both sides and a raised toilet seat can assist those with limited mobility.
  • Sink and Vanity: A wall-mounted basin at a suitable height allows wheelchair access underneath. Lever-style taps are easier to operate than traditional knobs.
  • Flooring: Non-slip, wet-rated flooring reduces the risk of falls
  • Lighting and Contrast: Bright, even lighting reduces the risk of accidents. Visual contrast between fittings and walls helps those with visual impairments navigate safely.
  • Doors: Outward-opening or sliding doors prevent blockages if someone falls and should be at least 775mm wide to accommodate wheelchairs.
